Insurance

Insurance:
Your insurance plan can benefit your health greatly if you take full advantage of it. The four components of most insurance plans are:

Co-Pay: This is where your insurance provider will require you to pay a set amount for each visit. This amount can differ by each individual plan and provider

Deductible:
This is where your insurance provider will require you to pay a set percentage of the needed procedure.

Care Coverage:
This is what your insurance provider will cover for a particular procedure.

Patient Responsibility: This cost occurs when the sum total of the deductible and care coverage does not fully cover the cost of a procedure.

Preventative Care:

For many plans, your insurance provider will cover a dental cleaning every six months and one day. Along with dental cleanings, many plans will fully cover preventative care, the cornerstone to protecting your smile. Preventative care includes essentials such as Fluoride treatments, a coating to protect the enamel of your teeth, and sealants, a procedure which protects undamaged teeth. Preventative care is quick and can prevent future complications in your oral health.

Diagnostic care includes exams and digital x-rays which have up to 80% less than traditional x-rays: both of which are quick, easy and painless. Make sure to visit the dentist as soon as possible to receive diagnostic care when you start to have any concerns about your oral health to indenting any areas of concern so a strategy of care can be developed for you.

Simple procedures such as single extractions and fillings, in many cases, are also covered by most insurance plans. These procedures will likely have a deductible and in some cases may not be fully covered incurring some fees out of pocket. These fees, the patient responsibility, are generally small for simple procedures.

Major Care:

The last category is Major Care which includes braces, bridges, dentures and other complicated procedures.
