Familia Dental and Molina Healthcare of WI to give out baby supplies, offer health presentations
RACINE, WI., Oct. 12, 2021 — Familia Dental and Molina Health care of Wisconsin invites new and expecting mothers in Racine County to attend a Community Baby Shower. The event is free and open to the public. Event organizers aim to connect growing families in Racine with local service organizations that support women and children.
The event is on October 16th, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Racine County Workforce Development Center. Organizers are preparing to serve nearly 100 families with health education, resources, and baby gifts. Those interested in attending should call Familia Dental at (262) 977-1006 to RSVP to the event.
Several local organizations will present at the event on their services and health-related topics for mothers and babies. Presenters include UW-Madison Extension, 4C Racine, WIC, and the YFC Parent Life Program, Familia Dental. In addition, keeping Families Covered has donated supplies.
Event attendees can expect to learn about mentorship opportunities and assistance available to teen mothers, best dental practices for prenatal and postal stages, how to maintain a healthy diet, and more. Expecting mothers will also receive a diaper bag and can enter to win additional raffle prizes.
Familia Dental and Molina Healthcare of W.I. are partnering across the state to put together several Community Baby Showers in October. The co-sponsored events aim to make dental care more accessible and improve general outcomes for families in the communities where Molina Healthcare and Familia Dental operate.
